TORCH DOWN Roofing
TORCH DOWN ROOFING
- Torch Down Roofing is a flat roofing system in which sheets of modified bitumen are rolled onto the roof and heated with a propane torch to adhere it. The seams are then melted together to create a waterproof seal. Torch down roofing is recommended for slightly pitched roofs, between ¼:12 to 1:12 pitch.
aDVANTAGES OF TORCH DOWN ROOFING
Due to its flat surface, torch down roofs prevent water from collecting and allow it to drain off.
Torch down roofs expand under heat and contract under cold conditions without melting or cracking.
The cap sheet gives it reflectivity and resistance to UV rays, keeping buildings cool and energy-efficient.
Easy to Maintain
Repairing a torch down roof roofing is a relatively simple process.
